Our Busy/Relaxing Summer

What are your plans this summer?  Working extra hours? Sipping lemondade at the pool every day?  Relaxing from a tough school year?  Or maybe you're the type that tries to squeeze in the hundred or so things you've wanted to do but haven't had the time? That's kind of how we feel as we get ready to kick off our whirlwind summer.  Sometime between now and July 23, we will visit (almost) all of our family members, be commissioned (twice!), speak at a church, go on a cruise, pack everything we own, and take a lot of pictures!  Here is a quick run-down of our summer plans:

We are getting ready to kick off our summer of traveling by going to Charlotte, NC, this weekend to speak at a Romanian Baptist Church.  We will also visit a few of Jessica's college friends while we are there.  Jessica will finish up the school year on June 12.  Lots of packing and organizing still to do!  We will travel to WV to visit Jessica's family and Camp Cowen friends, and then travel to Florida for a cruise with Jessica's family.  While in Florida, we will visit some of Cameron's family.  Next, we will head back to Wake Forest for our one year anniversary on July 2.  After about a day of rest, we will drive up to Michigan and then back down to Tennessee visiting Cameron's family.  When we come back to Wake Forest, we will finally be at North Wake Church again for our commissioning service on July 15.  Jessica's birthday is July 19, so we will have a going away/birthday party that week.  The very next day, we will move all of our stuff to Jessica's parents' house (thanks Mom & Dad), have a commissioning service at First Baptist Church of Nitro, WV (Jessica's home church), and go to training July 23!

Here are some specific ways you can pray for us now:
1. Pray for us to continue treasuring and protecting our time with the Lord each morning.
2. Pray for safe travels for the many miles we will put under us between now and July 23.
3. Pray for sweet and intentional time with family and friends.
4. Pray for us to have joy as we prepare for this big transition.

Here are some specific ways you can pray for our ministry
1. Pray for the expansion of God's kingdom in Bucharest, Romania.
2. Pray for our hearts to be open to God's leading.  We know we will be helping young pastors and their wives plant churches, but the details are not concrete.
3. Pray for our families that they might be truly satisfied that God is in control.
4. Pray for deep and lasting partnership between yourselves and us for the next two years.
