16 for '16

As Christmas draws nigh, bringing with it such happiness and joyful reflection for the Christ child who came to save sinners, we decided we'd write a list of 16 events/things we are thankful entered our story this calendar year. Jessica gives the first eight, while Cameron pens the latter. Two caveats: first, we both echo and agree with each other's list and also claim it gladly; second, we would be remiss not to say that, above and before everything on our list, is our personal and maturing relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. We give Christ glory for each of the 16 items on our list.

Jessica:
1. Our daughter, Sara (born October 13)
2. Jessica's parents being here for Sara's birth
3. Visiting family in the US in July
4. Riding an elephant in Thailand
5. Getting pregnant
6. Grocery and fast food delivery
7. Friends blessing us with gifts for Sara
8. Good health care at the private hospital

Cameron:
9. My students at the seminary
10. Publications (one book review, one guest blog, 2 articles)
11. Colleagues and profs that push me as a scholar
12. Open doors for ministry
13. Friends that pray for us and support us at all hours
14. Date nights with Jessica
15. Car to drive
16. Joy in the midst of the busiest year of our lives
